People can use (and have been, for hundreds of years) wind power. Wind power can turn turbines which create electricity. The same principle can be applied to water-powered turbines such as the ones found in dams. Also, there are wave-powered turbines. Another virtually renewable energy source is solar power, although technically it is not renewable as the sun will eventually burn itself out.

Another energy source being explored is the burning of ethanol, which can be created from plant matter.

There are many ways. You could use a solar cooker or a solar water heater. You could also install Solar Panels, used CFL light bulbs instead of Flourescent, and re-insulate your house, in order to prevent heat from leaving and cold air from entering, or vis versa.

Not everyone might agree with the premise of your question. However, if you do, then it would be because your sources of energy would run out at some point if you didn't use renewable sources.

Can you give me examples of renewable and nonrenewable resources for kids?

Renewable energy sources are things that can be never stopped in nature. The sun, the wind, the earth's heat, and flowing water can never be stopped. Nonrenewable energy sources have been made by someone or something. Coal is dead animal bodies that got preserved in a certain climate. Petrolium and gasoline are the same, sad story. They should be replaced.

What are two reasons to conserve fossil fuels?

The world is running out of oil, and we should keep it for useful things like making plastic instead of burning it.Burning it is damaging the environment, by adding to global warming. It is much better to conserve it, and use renewable sources of energy instead.

Is solar a renewable or non renewable source?

Solar energy is a renewable free source of energy that is sustainable and totally inexhaustible, unlike fossil fuels that are finite. It is also a non-polluting source of energy and it does not emit any greenhouse gases when producing electricity. We SOLARICH started our venture into the field of solar with an objective of producing green renewable energy at affordable cost with world-class equipments and technology. We understans our client's requirements, do energy audits, and recommend appropriate solar solution. We are specialized in application like Grid Tie Solar Plant, Solar Pumps & Solar Water heating. Our satisfied customers include leading hospitals, universities, colleges, hostels, supermarkets, petrol bunks, marriage halls & agro farms, etc.Vision:Emerge as a Leading Player in Solar energy by Incorporating Eco-friendly features in Commercial, Industrial, Institutional & Domestic buildings & thereby restrict CO2 emissions up to 10000 Tons per year by 2022. Encourage consumers, at least 30% of their total energy demand should be generated through renewable energy sources. Become socially responsible by establishing Jobs to educated youths and development of Entrepreneurs.Solarich is often portrayed as,Solar panel Installation in SrivilliputhurHybrid solar system in Srivilliputhur

Is coral is renewable or nonrenewable resource?

Coral is a living organism and is therefore theoretically a renewable resource. However, corals take a long long time to grow and are their growth is sensitive to minute environmental changes (which can kill them). For this reason, in the time frame of a man's life (70 years), corrals should be regarded as a NON renewable resource.

Why is electricity non-renewable?

When you use electricity to run a motor or a TV you use it up. It is not renewable. Renewable means it comes back by itself, like sunshine or wind or waves on the beach. All these are renewable and can be used to generate electricity. But electricity is non-renewable. The above is pretty much incorrect. Electricity is not a renewable or non-renewable. It is created. The real question should be, Is the energy used to create electricity renewable or non renewable. The answer to that is both. Depending on the type of electricity generating plant, you will see one or the other. A renewable type of plant would be a solar, wind, or water driven plant. Non- renewable plants would be coal and nuclear fired type of plants. I hope this cleared things up for you a bit.

In today's scenario, all other sources depleting. Hence, renewable sources should be used.

Why should fossil fuels be conserved renewable energy sources are available?

Renewable energy cannot, at present, replace fossil fuels or our use of them.

Which energy source should the city should invest in?

The city should invest in renewable energy sources like solar power.

Why solar energy is harnessed?

Solar energy is harnessed because it is a renewable source of energy and we should make full use of it to lower the pressure on the traditional or non-renewable sources of energy.

What are the views of members of the general public to the use of renewable energy resource to supply electricity or other useful forms of energy?

i think that we should use renewable sources of energy because they are abduntaly available and safer to use

Why should you support non-renewable energy sources?

because coal is a non renewable and it is the main culprit of global warming and coal is not infinte we will run out of coal soon

What should be used as a future energy source?

Why should you use coal and petroleum carefully?

They should be used carefully because, they are natural resources and they are scarce.

How is the suns energy classified?

Energy sources can be classified into two types: nonrenewable and renewable. Nonrenewable resources, such as fossil fuels and nuclear material, are removed from the earth and can be depleted. These resources have been the most used type of energy in the modern era. The source of energy that does not replenish in nature is known as non-renewable source of energy. Coal, petroleum, natural gas, etc. are some of the examples of non-renewable sources of energy. (b) Exhaustible sources are those sources of energy, which will deplete and exhaust after a few hundred years. An ideal source of energy should possess the following characteristics. (a) It should be capable of giving an adequate amount of useful energy. (b) It should be convenient to transport, store and use. (c) It should be economical. It does a huge amount of work per unit mass. It is easily accessible. It is easy to store and transport. It is economical.

Why do we continue to use non renewable energy sources?

We should use them but we should use them carefully because after their gone, their gone. Also, some of them aren't good for our planet.

Why should renewable energy not be delayed?

Creating sources of renewable energy, (Hydro dams, Solar Panel, etc) is relatively easy when we have machines to help us. If we wait to create them until after the non renewable energy runs out, we won't have any source of energy to power useful machines, so inferstructure creation will involve huge expenditures of blood sweat and tears.

Why is renewable energy the best source?

We shoud use renewable energy because it helps the earth by caussing less pollution.Today were using fossill fuels which causes pollution wich is bad for earth and us everywere you go their is more fossil fuels in use then renewable energy.Thats why we should use renewable energy.
