Utzel calling his daughter Poverty is fitting because he sees her as a burden and a limitation in his life. Naming her Poverty reflects his negative view of her existence and his perception of her as something that brings hardship and lack into his life. It reveals his resentment towards her and his deep-seated dissatisfaction with his circumstances.
Even animals industrious, like bees make honey, spiders spin webs, birds built nests or squirrels store food for the winter; you must be, because all a man possesses he gain through work; hard work, not by lying in the bed. Very poor and lazy man; Utzel, he doesn't want to do any job and maintain his house. His wife has starved to death but before die, she had given birth to a baby girl who named Poverty which very fit to her because she is the only thing in the world that Utzel has. He hated everybody and everything but adored his daughter and day dreamed a rich young man would fall in love with her, but In case of family's situation no men interest her. Utzel goes to charitable Society, borrowed some money, he wants to buy shoes for Poverty. Shoemaker talks about Poverty' foot measurement that increases during the day and money that Utzel has to payback. If he doesn't work he will become poorer and poverty has grown bigger. "From borrowing one gets poorer and from work one gets richer". They look for a work, get job, earn money and rebuilt their house. Poverty loses weight, her looks improve and son of a wealthy merchant marry with her. Uztel became so respected and was elected as steward of charitable loan society. At last Uztel and poverty understand that every wish come true by work, whatever you can do today, don't put off till tomorrow. "Summarise by Mehrdad Darvishi".
