Co-education is economically beneficial in the way that infrastructure costs as well as staff costs are reduced by about half.
Reasons:
1. Infrastructure costs
Instead of constructing two different buildings for boys and girls, one is enough.
(That really makes no sense as the number of students in the country will remain the same and the number of buildings as well. But that's the advantage I've been given by the teacher!)
2. Staff costs
The number of people working in the schools will be the same when boys and girls study in the same school... so additional employees will not be required.
(This will not make sense either if you consider my notes above.)
I've tried to help, even if I personally think that the benefits I've given above are not really right!
