What country will have the world's largest economy in 2015?

It is quite difficult predicting the future, but most probably, the largest economy will be the USA or China. US is 14 trillion right now and China is 5 trillion. It's got a long way to go but many Economists suggest that it will be China.

The second might be Japan and India will be in the top 10.

Actually, China is not expected to surpass the United States' in economical size until between 2025 and 2030, which means the United States will still have the largest economy in 2015. This will only work, of course, if things keep going the way they do; China surges as the United States has a fall back. So of course this may not even be true. In 2015, any country can have the largest economy, Germany, Russia, Japan, even Egypt or South Africa or Australia might. Or maybe it'll be some country that is not even a country yet! Who knows. What is known is that China's surge won't last long and neither will the downfall of the United States. In fact, the United States downfall (and Europe's for that fact) is a result of a major surge! So the positions may be switched by 2015. China's economy is currently growing about 3x faster than that of the United States and it's actually not that much of a lead (9% versus 3%). In fact, the United States just surpassed 15 trillion dollars in 2011, the first country ever to do so. China, whose currently in second place, is only at about 7 trillion US dollars, and is not even expected to surpass 10 trillion until 2015. Which means in 2015, China will be around 10 trillion while the US will be around 17 trillion.
