What global forces are affecting the US economy and politics?

It is a long list. To name just a few of them, there is the political and military ascendancy of China, the enduring political and military unrest in many Muslim countries, the Shia/Sunni power struggles between Muslims that influence the situation in Syria, Iran, the Arabian peninsula and Afghanistan, the US-Israel alliance, and in economic terms the ever-bigger budget deficit in the US and the resulting dependency on other countries being or remaining willing to invest in US bonds, and worldwide interest movements that support or hurt the major currencies such as the US dollar...

To have a complete understanding of the correct information as credible stated above, the global forces affecting the US, are shared to one extent or another by nations world wide. Debt to GDP issues are always a wide world issue. Struggles in the Middle East as well. So far there has been little reluctance to invest in US Treasury debt instruments. If that were so, it leaves open the question as to where is a stable enough place to invest in a particular nations debt instruments. And is that being done, and, if so where is it being done becomes a logical question.

Currently, the Russian presence in what was Ukrainian Crimea has become a US political issue. This political issue is shared by most European nations and on a clear basis both economically and politically by Ukraine.
