I was searching for this answer too. I found CoinFlation.com which lists the melt value of various coins (90% silver halves were at $4.65 on 9/4/08). That's the base price and then you need to factor in the quality and collector value. If you (like I) were just looking for the base value (melt value) then I would check out CoinFlation.com then click on the Silver Coin Values link. Posted by Brock
A site such as CoinFlation will only list metal values as noted. You need to look at a collector's site such as PCGS.com or Numismedia.com to get an idea of collector values. For Walking Liberty halves in VF-20 condition (somewhat worn, but all details visible) those prices can range anywhere from near the coin's metal value to nearly $1,000 depending on date and mint mark, so you can see there's no real "average" out there.

The coin is NOT a Liberty silver dollar, it's a PEACE dollar (1921-1935) and assuming the coin is circulated and has no mintmark, retail values are $32.00-$37.00 depending on the actual grade of the coin. 1925 is a common date.
Assuming no mint mark the coin is common, circulated coins are valued at $22.00-$25.00

The 1943 Walking Liberty half dollar is the high mintage of the series with an average value of $5.00 to $8.00 in circulated condition.
Please look at the coin again it's not a dollar it's a half dollar with retail values of $7.00-$9.00 in average circulated condition.

The 1945-D is a common coin. In average circulated condition values are $16.00-$18.00. Better circulated coins are $20.00-$25.00.
In average circulated condition, all Walking Liberty halves from 1940 to 1947 are very common with values of $14.00-$15.00.
