Please check again and post a new question. The U.S. didn't mint any silver dollars after 1935. If your coin has the famous walking Liberty design on the front it's a HALF dollar.
If the coin has so much wear you can't see the words HALF DOLLAR on the back of the coin it's worth about 6 bucks just for the silver. No dollar coins were struck after 1935.
Giving medium circulation the grade of EF-40, the retail value of the 1935 is $10.00 and the 1945 is $9.00 and I thank you for the condition description, it does help.
1979 would make it a Susan B. Anthony dollar. Lady Liberty hasn't been on a dollar coin since 1935. The '79 SBA dollar is worth face value only.
