No. It is a specific business. An Industry is a very large group (100's, 1000's, 10000's) of related businesses that rely on each other financially, and in fact would die out if the other businesses were not there. Often it is a very basic need that is being met: transportation, food, shelter, water, energy. The plantation is a part of the Agricultural industry but it is not THE Agricultural industry.
they both had very low economies which means they both were very broke. the south had slavery for a purpose, they used them as maids for food and other stuff like that. the slavery had really nothing but, slavery. just working for white male.
Because the south was mainly cotton produced--and trains at that time wasn't built to go very far, the South had to rely on the North for food because the North was so widely diverse on manufacturing, agriculture and more. So then this leaves the answer being: the south was dependent on the north for food supplies.
Plantation owners defended slavery because it was seen as necessary for their economic success. Slavery allowed them to rely on free labor to cultivate crops, leading to increased profits. Additionally, many plantation owners held racist beliefs that justified the subjugation of enslaved individuals as a way to maintain social order and dominance.

The South's plantation economy put it at a disadvantage because it had to rely on imports for numerous manufactured goods. The North, in contrast, had a thriving manufacturing base.
Yes this is true slaves where very common in North and south Carolina and this was because they need more people to help with the rice crops because, the people of that time did not know how to even plant rice. Silly people : )

Plantation owners grew cotton because it was a highly profitable cash crop, especially with the rise of the textile industry in the early 19th century. The invention of the cotton gin made it easier to process cotton, increasing its market value and demand. Additionally, cotton cultivation was labor-intensive, which led plantation owners to rely on enslaved labor to maximize their profits. This economic model significantly contributed to the growth of the Southern economy in the United States.
They rely on their owners.
They rely on their owners.
Themselves and other slaves, and by and large their masters for daily needs.

true.
They wanted to keep slavery in the country, because their ecosystem relied on slaves to do farm work. The north did not need slaves as much, because they didn't rely on farm work, like the southerners did. With out slaves in the south, then the farmers had to do their own work. That would have slowed down the process of farming, because there were less farmers than slaves. It isn't really too fun to work in the hot sun either. The slaves' black skin did not get burned easily. But the farmers would have to do the work by themselves, and they did not want that.
