Not necessarily.. Completing the ASVAB is part of the enlisting process at your given MEPS
Not exactly sure what would happen, but you would still be able to join the military if your general score is high enough
No. You can't fail the asvab. a score of 51 means you got more correct answers than 51% of the people that took the test. You should be able to join any branch with a score of 51
HI my name is jesse i've been trying to pass the asvab too. I need a score of about 50 or more to join the marines i have books to study but still i can't pass the test do u know a good book to get to study?
Contact the Housing Authority of the City of Pittston. They should be able to help place your mother in an income-based housing for senior citizens. Their number is 570-655-3707.
After you are able to pass your practice ASVAB, you would schedule an appointment at your nearest MEPS to take the actual ASVAB.
It depends on what job you are looking to join and the type of score it requires in different areas of the asvab. BAR NONE it is the special forces. SF does NOT have the highest asvab requirement most of them require in the 40-55 range. for the USAF most of the higher asvab required jobs are of electronics backgrounds
There is a site that accepts an Army pre-1980 GT score of 136 as evidence for an IQ in the top 2% of IQ,starting at 130 or higher. My 1962 GT was 140; IF the factor 136/130 is valid, a divisor of 1.046+... applied to 140 yields 133.823, a ridiculous accuracy, but there it is. A a pre-1980 GT of 137 would be (another ridiculous accuracy) and yield an IQ of 130.95588. Hurray.
The US Army, like the other US Military branches are an all volunteer fighting force, which means you have to volunteer to enlist. With your consent, being able to pass the ASVAB and physical you can then be enlisted into the Army.
First make sure you are 18 years old and a legal U.S. Citizen by birth or naturalization or have Permanent Resident Status/Green Card. You do not have any past criminal convictions/felonies. (misdeamenors can be waived) 1. Get either a H.S. Diploma or a GED. 2. Go talk to a military recruiter. I recommend you talk to more than just one recruiter from one branch of military service. Best option is to talk to them all: Air Force, Navy, Marines, Army, Coast Guard. 3. Once you spoke to several recruiters and decided which branch you want to serve in. Have your recruiter schedule you to take the ASVAB and go to MEPS. (Military Entrance Processing Station) 4. Score high on the ASVAB (50 and higher the better your chances) and a list of medical jobs that you qualify for that are available at that momment will be presented to you. So keep your nose clean and prepare yourself well to take the ASVAB and there should be no reason you won't be able to get a medical job.
the questioniare does not count into your score
