No to both questions. First of all the age of majority in Missouri is eighteen (18). Missouri does have a juvenile code which refers to a person being at least seventeen being an "adult", that designation is for judicial proceedings only and does not change the legal age of majority of eighteen years. A minor is under the custody of their parent(s) or legal guardian until they reach the age of eighteen years, or until a MO. court rules otherwise.
