Yes you can get into any college with a GED
Some high schools offer a program called "Sno-isle." And you can take a cosmetology course for half of the day during school. Or you can get your GED and go to college because most beauty schools only require a GED.
It is difficult to find GED classes free of charge. The best way to find the few ways of completing GED without cost is to speak with community college counselors, especialy if you may be attending that school with your new GED.
It depends on where you live, but a lot of colleges and universities will accept a GED. You could e-mail the guidance or admissions counselor at a nearby college and they should be able to clarify about how to get a GED and whether they will accept it. Hope this helped. Good luck and God bless.
I'm pretty sure you need a GED (a high school diploma) to get into any college.
Well there are a lot of differences between them but similarities? I can only think of the obvious. A GED and high school diploma both mean you have acquired a certain amount of knowledge. They both allow you to get into college as well. They both can't help in getting a good job, you need college for that. Other than that I don't know any other similarities
Yes, several community colleges in the St. Louis area offer GED classes. Some are: St. Louis Community College, East St. Louis Community College, and Patricia Stevens College. Saint Louis Community College (http://www.ed2go.com/stlcc/) has GED preparation classes. In addition, these classes are also offered by East Saint Louis Community College Center (http://www.eslccc.com/). yes
Yes. First, you will need to go to any college that will accept you and prove yourself there. It is like a second chance so don't mess it up! Get straight A's and take hard classes with an emphasis on science (biology, physiology, anatomy) and math (chemistry is most important). Once you get your AA degree, consider getting into a good university to complete your BS degree. Then a medical school may consider you. Absolutely possible. The best way to do it is to get your GED, then go to a community college for 2 years and transfer to a 4year university with medical school. Of course being a doctor is very hard, and you must study a great amount for it. But having a GED is virtually the same as a high school diploma once you get into college. The test is named the same way. It is called a GED test. This GED test is composed of five separate test sections dealing with writing, social studies, science, language arts reading, and math.
I got a GED with an average percentage in the high 90s range, and I didn't get any scholarships because most scholarships are only offered to high school graduates with diplomas. So, from my personal experience, while a GED will help you get into college or university, it will not help you very much to get a scholarship.
