I wouldn't recommend it. there isn't a way for you to know exactly how much oil is in the engine unless you had previously found the length and the measurements of the markings on the dipstick.
1: Raise the hood. 2: Locate Dipstick 3: Pull out dipstick and wipe off with a lint free cloth or paper towel. 4: Re-insert dipstick 5: pull dipstick out again and look to see where the oil marks on the dipstick.
If one feels that it is necessary to completely clean a dipstick, it can be effectively cleaned with good warm soapy water. There is no real need to clean a dipstick, as in order to properly read your oil level you can simply wipe the stick with a paper towel so that you can clearly see the mark on the dipstick when checking oil levels.
spray oil
Let the engine idle for 5 to 10 minutes to heat up the oil. Slowly remove the oil filler cap positioned on the right side of the engine. Clean the dipstick with a paper towel, then inset it back into the oil and remove it again to get an accurate reading.
you get a paper towel that is wet and then . you scrub it . hard and then try to take off the oil by licking it
yes but not all of it you should use a soapy substance on a paper towel to complete the cleaning process
Oil can pass through filter paper. Also bear in mind that there are different grades of filter paper. I personally have filtered oil very successfully, using an ordinary paper towel as my filter paper.
To remove candle wax from a book bag, place a paper towel over the wax and run a warm iron over it. The wax will melt and be absorbed by the paper towel. Repeat as needed with a fresh paper towel until all the wax is removed.
Oil it. - Wash off any dirt in clean soapy water, especially anything that has got in the mechanism. - Dry it on a paper towel. - Apply a little light machine oil, move the blades back and forth a few times. - Then remove the excess oil with a paper towel.
a rag or paper towel, replace asap...........
Only two things. If there is no oil showing on the dipstick, there is not enough oil in the engine.OrThe dipstick is not pushed all the way in place.
The part that the oil dipstick goes into is called the oil filler tube or dipstick tube. It serves as the conduit for the dipstick to access the oil reservoir in the engine. This tube allows for the measurement of oil levels and provides a means to add oil when necessary.
