Holloween, known before as All Hallow's Eve, was the night before All Hallow's Day: the day when all the good spirits would return to the world of the living. However, on the night before Hallow's Day, all the evil spirits would return to Earth and cause mischief. To appease the demons, people would leave treats outside their doors. Later, children dressed up in costumes (of spirits and monsters) and asked people for some candy, or risk having mischief done upon them, creating the modern tradition of 'trick-or-treat'. So Halloween is not satanism, it's an ancient tradition that came from respectable religions.
