Pulling out is NOT effective as a form of birth control nor is it a method of practicing safe sex.
In order to practice safe sex, there has to be a physical barrier between partners at all times, from start to finish, in order to best prevent bodily fluids from passing between one individual to another. Left unimpeded, these bodily fluids can easily pass both STD's (Sexually Transmitted Diseases) between partners, and if in the case between a man and a woman, the material necessary (sperm) for pregnancy to occur is there... Even before full ejaculation.
While there is little doubt that sex is more enjoyable for both partners without this barrier, millions and millions of new people are contracting life-long diseases each year such as Herpes, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia as well as HIV in exchange for the 'It just feels better' mentality. Your first thought should be of your own health and the health of your partner, above ALL other considerations. If you are unable to discuss both an adequate form of Birth Control AND practicing safe sex, you SHOULD NOT BE HAVING SEX. It's far FAR better to ask your parents for help in obtaining birth control and condoms than it is to tell them that you just tested positive for AIDS.
While 'pulling out' is often seen as a way of preventing pregnancy, semen is still present in what is often referred as 'pre-ejactulation' and can be continually present the moment an erection occurs. Many women and most men assume that full ejaculation must occur in order to achieve pregnancy and this is simply not the case.
Get tested first and get tested regularly and ALWAYS insist that your new partner(s) do the same. NEVER put your sexual pleasure (or that of your partner's) above your own sexual health and ALWAYS practice safe sex as well as always using a reliable form of birth control. If you have any doubt to the importance of this, ask ANY health care professional just how many times people have wound up pregnant and/or freshly diagnosed with an STD and then heard 'But... They told me they were safe!' from their patient immediately after.
After both partners are tested and test negative for any and all STD's, and understanding that there is always still some inherent risk of transferring STD's between one individual to another, there are several very pleasurable 'alternatives' to sexual intercourse, some perhaps even more pleasurable than intercourse itself. These include: heavy petting resulting in orgasm, non 'genital to genital' dry humping, oral sex and even mutual masturbation should all be considered before having unprotected sex and relying on the 'pulling out' method of pseudo birth control.
If you're using the 'pull out' method of birth control, it's now not a question of 'if' she'll get pregnant, it's only a matter of when.
Take care, consult the advice of a health care provider and ALWAYS practice safe sex. Your very life might depend on it.

Pushing,lifting and pulling
When you pull on an object, you are applying a force to move the object towards you or away from its current position. Work is being done when this force causes the object to move a certain distance in the direction of the force applied. Work is calculated as the amount of force applied multiplied by the distance over which the force is exerted.
The work done by the elephant while moving the circus wagon can be calculated using the formula: Work = Force x Distance. If the pulling force exerted by the elephant is known, the work done can be calculated by multiplying the force by the distance of 20 meters.
