Test the relay and the temperature sensor.
dose the electric fan run if not check the relay if it runs check the water pump
if fan is electric, the radiator thermostate could be wired wrong/faulty.
The fan is bolted to the radiator, under the hood.
Low coolant? Cooling fan not working? Thermostat not opening? Cooling system air bound? Water pump not circulating coolant? Plugged or restricted radiator? Defective radiator cap?
Depends, It could be either the discharge or suction hose.
radiator plugged up
Saturn recommends 5W30. But I put 10W30 in my 2002 Saturn SL2 now that it has higher mileage, and it runs like a gem. I use Quaker State High Mileage (with Slick 50) to give it additional lubrication.
The radiator runs as cheap as $60-70 shipped on eBay
Lenore runs away from someone named Saturn.
My question is, where is the engine coolant temperature sensor located, in a cylinder head or in the intake manifold close to the thermostat? If it is in a cylinder head it will give you a hotter reading than if it was in the intake manifold.
The hose that runs in front of the radiator and connects to the power steering in a 2000 Hyundai Tiburon is typically referred to as the power steering pressure hose. This hose carries pressurized fluid from the power steering pump to the steering gear, facilitating the steering process. It's important to ensure that this hose is in good condition to maintain proper power steering function.
electric fan runs of a thermostat shuts off when coolant is cool enought
