The actions taken by President Hoover to solve the wall street crash (the depression) were, to give loans to businesses to help them recover. The Reconstruction Finance corporation was developed in 1929 and planned to help companies, it was claimed a success by the businesses it helped. He also bought produce from farmers above the Market rate, this would help the farmers and the agriculture in America. He also $4000 million into a building project, one of it's most famous buildings is the Hoover dam, built in Clark county, Nevada and was built by 1936. The last action I'm going to mention is the Emergency Relief Act (ERA), Hoover provided $300 million to give food and shelter to the less fortunate people. This is the most simplest way of explaining the actions taken by Hoover. Thank you.

What two actions made president hoover unpopular by the 1932 election?

By the 1932 election, President Herbert Hoover became unpopular largely due to his handling of the Great Depression and his reluctance to provide direct federal relief to struggling Americans. His response to the economic crisis, which included measures like the Hawley-Smoot Tariff that raised trade barriers, exacerbated the situation and led to widespread unemployment and suffering. Additionally, the violent dispersal of the Bonus Army in 1932 further tarnished his image, as many viewed his actions as callous and unsympathetic to veterans seeking assistance.
