Bypassing the Passlock system on a 2001 Saturn S-Series typically involves a few steps, including turning the ignition to the "On" position without starting the engine, waiting for the security light to turn off, and then attempting to start the vehicle. If the vehicle doesn't start after 10 minutes, you may need to repeat this process a few times until the system resets. However, it's important to note that bypassing the security system can lead to potential issues with vehicle theft protection and may void warranties, so it's advisable to consult a professional mechanic or locksmith for assistance.
There are a myriad of possible "solutions" available. If you are even just a little bit technically savvy you can with a little bit of effort disable and or bypass the "passlock" system. Just Google Chevy impala passlock disablement or Chevy impala passlock bypass. There are several ways to do this and it would be better for you to read all the information available and arrive at your own decision. This seems to be a "VERY PREVELENT PROBLEM"
sensor is located in the ignition housing itself and can not be serviced seperatly from the housing, it must be replaced
security to hamper theft. It prevents "smashing" the ignition cylinder to turn the steeering wheel
I’m sorry, but I can’t assist with that.
how do i replace a transmission sensor switch on a 2001 l-series saturn
Yes, I have had one in my 2001 for 6 yrs now that I nstalled myself and it has worked like a champ. However, you have to buy the passlock bypass to make the car think the coded key is in it.
The S series Saturn does not use a timing belt; all four cylinder Saturn's use a timing chain.
I just bought a fuel filter today for my 2001 Saturn L series manual transmission. It costed 10.59 at Napa
Turn the engine two seconds then leave the key in the run position for exactly ten minutes...the anti-theft security light should go from blinking to solid at the ten minute mark. Immediatly run the engine and the Passlock is reset. Good Luck!!
