In Texas, you play both Fall and Spring season. In fall its team tennis therefore you compete vs the surrounding schools, the overall winner after playoffs within your district, goes to regionals. In the Spring its only individuals, there is One district tournament. In district 21-5A its single elimination, only the top two players of each tournament make regionals so 2 boys singles, 2 girls singles, 4 for boys doubles, 4 for girls doubles, and 4 for mixed doubles. Then only top 2 qualify for state from regionals, TEXAS IS HARD!! at least the Houston Area
