This depends on what type of degree you are working towards. At the highschool I graduated from (which was in Virginia...) a standard diploma required 2-3 years of science and an advanced diploma required 4 years. This can vary from state to state, its best to ask someone at a local highschool in your area, or to look at the schools websites.
