You don't need a bachelor's or associate's degree to be a hairdresser. You do need to take professional courses in order to meet requirements for a license. You can find special schools that offer the training you need, without having to go through the course requirements for a college degree.

~In some countries you will have to undergo a 4 year apprenticeship where you will attend college at least once weekly and complete the course to achieve the vocational award in Hairdressing
