Add about $6,000 to $8,000 to that estimate because UF is jacking up the fees on everything and charging new fees for everything on top of a 40% increase in tuition over the next two years.

And when I say everything, I mean everything you can think of. They are charging for official copies of your UF transcripts so if you are applying for a lot of scholarships that require you send in an official UF transcript, it will cost you a pretty penny, that you don't have. So in effect, only students that have the financial means can apply for scholarships. They are charging a technology fee even though you are required to buy your own laptop and software for the classes. They have raised parking decals and the fee for student ID's. They even charge you in your tuition a Financial aid fee and they when you get your financial aid they take out another financial aid fee from your financial aid you received. They charge you in your tuition an athletic fee and an activities fee and a facilities fee in your tuition but on top of that they are starting to charge you for use of the student gyms on-campus. And the list goes on.

So their estimates are low compared to reality.
