Remember that just as with a high school diploma, the minimum requirements for achieving a GED are lower than the minimum requirements for entering a college. Typically you should also include information in the admissions essay about why you have a GED rather than a high school diploma. Keep in mind that "I hated my teachers and the other students suck" is generally not going to win you points with a college admissions comittee.
