Homecoming is a High School and College tradition, but for college students there is generally no concern about whether or not you are old enough to go, so we can assume that this question is intended to ask about the minimum age to attend a High School Homecoming dance or equivalent event.

Some High Schools have set policies restricting which classes can go (for example - only Sophomores and above or only Juniors and Seniors). A few have placed limits that High School students cannot bring middle-school students. In general terms though, IF you are old enough to date and IF you are old enough pay for it yourself and IF you have actually earned enough to pay for it, then you are probably old enough to go. Those are 3 major IF's though. The other factor is that if you are a minor, you need your parent's permission so it will be up to them to decide if you are old enough. From a legal standpoint parents still have that power over their minor children (another reason why it's not an issue for most college students at college homecomings - college students are usually no longer minors).

Personally I would recommend being at least 16 before you consider going to homecoming.
