John Adams was accepted to Harvard University when he was 15. His father sold off ten acres of land so John could go to school. He was listed 14th of the 25 who received degrees, based on the dignity of his family. If his mother was not a Boylston and his father a deacon he would have been last but he graduated third out of his class.
