Any question like "Is so-and-so a Satanist (or Christian/Socialist/etc)?" depends on your definition of the labeling word. Often "Satanist" is used as a "smear word" to attack other people, and it ends up meaning whatever the user doesn't like. To some Christians, all non-Christians are Satanists. A more useful definition: a Satanist is someone who sees Satan as a positive force, symbol, god, etc. and draws inspiration, strength, energy, etc. from that source. The Wikipedia entry for Satanism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satanism) is helpful, and so is the website of Ontario Consultants for Religious Tolerance (www.religioustolerance.org). Both largely succeed in avoiding any particular bias. After checking these sources, you should be able to decide for yourself, which most people feel is a good thing to be able to do.
