well it depends on what you are looking for or what you ant i would say rutgers is a good school but the only problem is that i believe that they are tooo overated and they are living on its past glory.....but Montclair is rather a school that has been degraded by many but it is upcoming right now i would say Montclair is better as you can see in most rankings they are on top of rutgers while Rutgers is just going lower...but they are both great schools

In 1971, the tuition for in-state undergraduate students at Rutgers University was approximately $1,200 per year, while out-of-state students paid about $2,200 annually. These figures reflect the significantly lower tuition rates of that time compared to today. Adjusted for inflation, these amounts would be considerably less than current tuition rates, highlighting the rising costs of higher education over the decades.
Montclair College Prep is not a public school; it is a private college preparatory school located in Los Angeles, California. The school offers a curriculum designed to prepare students for college and emphasizes academic excellence.
