The school is legitimate and has been established according to government norms, but you must remember that this institution is based in India, and not in the USA. Therefore the American accreditation system does not apply to it, though it is legitimate. (American accreditation extends only to American institutions).
Thus the institution does not have American regional or national accreditation. Therefore fully accredited colleges, universities, and some employers in USA may not recognize the courses completed nor the degree itself.
While the school offers virtually free tuition, the course work for the degrees consists of (depending on the degree) extensive text covering Apologetics and Theology that surpasses the curriculum of many fully accredited colleges. The Doctor of Ministry for example contains 95 texts and requires a minimum of a one thousand word critical review of each (95,000 words). The student will also have to develop two courses in ministry, which would amount to another 10,000 to 20,000 words.
The sheer volume of information rivals that of any Bible college course for any degree. In effect when one undertakes the course work which is graded and critiqued, the student will earn well over 100 credit hours and will have spent hundreds of hours writing what amounts to be his thesis.
Trinity Graduate School of Apologetics and Theology has been here now for two decades. Over the years they have enrolled 50,000 students and auditors. Most students come from Developing countries because TGSAT gives them everything (including registration) free of cost.
No. They are non-denominational and teach straight Christian theology.
