Most of the African captives died during the middle passage because the passage could take up to several weeks to complete and there was a lack of food and exercise. And where the slaves would be staying was very unhygienic and unsuitable for someone to stay especially a human being.
6 to 8 weeks
4-8 weeks my darling!!!
It took place for a couple hundred years. It was during the 17th and 18th centuries. The Middle Passage was the ship voyage from Africa to the United States.
about 2 sometimes 3 months
It took place from the 1600's to the 1700's.
on the middle passage slaves were taken on deck to wach other people beeing toucherd by the slave traders. some slaves couldn't take it and killed then selves
It started by picking up slaves in Africa to take to the West Indies
The Middle Passage, and the peculiar institution of slavery, are responsible for the simmering racial tension in this country, which seems to always be just beneath the surface. Trials and issues that involve American blacks and whites, which should be simply based on the elements of the case, automatically will take on elements of race, with opinions split along racial lines.
I think it was either 6-8 weeks or 1-6 months
Lumber, textiles, and shipbuilding were important industries for the Middle Colonies,.
