Depending on the state and the school system, most high schools require a certain number of "credits" be accumulated in certain subjects in order to graduate with a high school diploma. Many school districts award "special" diplomas to those who are learning disabled or who do not pass certain state tests and others will award a "certificate of attendance". Neither of those are considered regular diplomas though. IQ normally has nothing to do with graduating from high school.

In order to teach marketing I would imagine that one must have a degree in Advertisement, Communications, and if they're teaching graduate school then it would have to be a master's. You can research teaching degrees, specialized "marketing" degrees, etc.
