Te and Ra

"L" can't usually be pronunciated in Japanese - they usually say "ra."

Japanese vowels are pronunciated like so:

A as in utter

E as in cafe

I as in (a long "E" sound; like eel)

U is usually silent, but it has a short U sound.

O is usually a long vowel.

Akira - Uh-kee-ruh

Taylah - Te-raa
