The Story of Safa and Marwa
To test Hagar and Ismail, Wife and Infant Son of Ibrihim, on their faith about Islam, Allah commanded Ibrihim to take Hagar and Ismail out deserted in the desert in between to mountains, Safa and Marwa. They had packed food and water but however they ran out in a short amount of time. Hagar (The Mother), went out to look for food and water to supply them with. To make things faster and easier, she left Ismail (The Infant Son), on the sandy ground. Hagar forst searched of Safa, to search the surrounding area, but she found nothing. Next, she looked on the opposite hill, Marwa to look for people, no hope! At the top of the hills, Hagar could see her son, however when she was traveling in between Safa and Marwa, she could not see him. She had to TRUST Allah to protect Ismail.
When Hagar got back to her son, there was a spring of water where Ismail had been kicking at the ground. She had then got water for Ismail and herself.
