making fun of some one, punching someone,

talking badly about someone or making up false rumours about that person is also a form of bullying. Especially in junior high and high school, which is where gossiping seems to be the norm and readily accepted even in circumstances that are cruel and without good reason.

asking someone inappropriate or insulting questions having to do with their sexual orientation or nationality in a way that makes that person feel uncomfortable or emotionally violated. by the way, verbal speculation about someones sexuality among peers in school is in many ways analogous to sexual harassment at work.

think about it, if you're talking about another individual in a sexual way and that includes discussing their sexual preferences and what you are defining them as, that is almost like having a co-worker talk to other co-workers about you in a sexual way at work. Basically adolescents sexually harass other adolescents when they do this.

Hostility in any form such as body language or intentionally excluding someone from socialization within the group, which causes that person to feel that they don't belong can also be considered an example of bullying. It doesn't end there.

Basically bullying is not limited to obvious signs, such as punching someone in the nose or just making fun of them to their face.

Bullying is a form of abuse, most commonly among adolescents. I guess, it could be defined as Social Abuse.

++ Unfortunately It is my belief (still being in school) that it is unfortunate that bullying comes in many forms! I was taught to remember communication is 80% verbal and 20% Verbal... so again, unfortunately nonverbal communication sometimes gets construded as bullying... eyes rolling, leaning in to another with your hand to your mouth whispering while watching someone and giggling.. has been thought to be bullying. I have a student at my school that feels threated by that on a daily basis... sitting with your back to someone who is sitting beside you and giggling and no including them... it goes on an on... making lists of names you don't like and someone is on it! Bully! This week I have found some school property that has been written on with ... Im wonderful even if the "***" girls don't think so.. my name is yadda yadda, Im gonna write on this cuz I can.... stuff like that.. that's just being a bully because that person knows who sees it and its going to make them upset or uncomfortable.. that's a bully! Words, actions, reactions... all can be bullying!

What can be done to limit the incidence of bullying at school?

I think that to limit the incidence of bullying at school there could be a whole school assembly talking about the affects of bullying and true life stories? This way it could show the bullies what pain and hurt is caused by bullying but I also feel that there is no proper way to stop bullying as there are some cruel people in this world who make their own decisions however there are websites you can go on and you can talk to adults as well STOP BULLYING
