DRESS CODE FOR GIRLS IS AS FOLLOWS: # # 1. Skirts:The plaid uniform skirt, not shorter than five inches above the knee, is optional and may be worn at any time. They may not be rolled up at the waist. Shorts are not to show from under the skirt. Uniform skirts may be purchased from Casson Schoolwear Company (621-1710). # 2. Shirts: Any solid white dress shirt with a collar or Roger Bacon Golf style shirt bought from the Spirit Shop/ bookstore may be worn. Shirts are to be tucked in at all times. Shirts may not be layered (i.e. wearing a polo shirt under a dress shirt). Exception: a plain white T-shirt may be worn under the school shirt. # 3. Pants: Solid colored dress pants-khaki, brown, navy blue, or black must be worn. Jeans or denims are not permitted nor are any pants which look like jeans. Belts must be worn to maintain pants at waist level. Pants with large pockets (cargo style) are not permitted. Pants which are gathered, pinned or torn at the cuffs are not permitted. Pants are to be pulled to the waist and are NOT to be worn below the waist at any time. # 4. Capris: Khaki, brown, navy blue, or black may be worn with gym shoes from the first day of school until September 30th and from May 1st until the end of the school year. # 5. Sweaters: A solid color sweater may be worn at any time over the dress shirt. Turtleneck sweaters may not be worn. Sweaters are not to be draped over shoulders or tied around the waist. # 6. Sweatshirts: Any Roger Bacon sweatshirt (bought form the bookstore) except hoodies may be worn at any time over the dress code blouse or pullover. Sweatshirts may not be draped over shoulders not tied at the waist. Hoodies may not be worn during the school day. # 7. Shoes: Casual or dress shoes with socks, tights or stockings must be worn. Neither shoes with open toes or heels, nor gym shoes may be worn. In the case of inclement weather, Ahigh top@ work boots/ shoes can be worn. Exceptions will be granted only with a note from a doctor. # # 8. Socks: Socks must be worn and visible. Stockings or tights may be worn. No brightly colored socks may be worn. School Regulations 42 # # 9. Jackets: Students may not wear jackets during the school day. # 10. Jewelry: No sunglasses may be worn during school. Girls may wear no more than two earrings per ear and may not wear earrings longer than two inches. Earrings may not be worn in any other part of the body including the tongue. # 11. Hair and Makeup: Eccentric hairstyles are not permitted. Hair should be neatly groomed. No heavy makeup is permitted. # 12. Tattoos: Tattoos are not part of the dress code and are not permitted.
