Depends on writing (kanji) and where it is used. It can be 度 a counter for degrees in general usage, as well as a counter for 'times' as in once twice etc.

E.g. 'sanbyaku rokujuu do' would mean '360 degrees' and 'nando renshuu shimasu ka?' [How many times do you practice] - 'sando' [three times/thrice]

It can be 土 which when used alone reads /tsu chi/ meaning 'earth, soil', but in compound nouns like 'doyoubi' [Saturday] it is pronounced 'do', in which case it is also used as an abbreviation for Saturday like in calendars, similar to how in English it is abbreviate to 'Sat.'.
