Grade Point Average (GPA) is the average of your grades using various point scales. Grade Point Index (GPI) is actually an eligibility index that is used for admissions. Elibility Index or GPI calculation: You can calculate your eligibility index by multiplying your grade point average by 800 and adding your combined score on the SAT, using the combined scores earned on the critical reading and math sections. If you took the ACT, multiply your grade point average by 200 and add ten times the ACT composite score. ACT Writing score is not considered in the composite score.
If a young 13 year old (Sept. BD) in 8th grade scored a composite score of 21 on the ACT, would that be considered a good score, all things considered?
The average ACT score in the USA is a 21. The highest possible score on the ACT however is a 36. To get into a college like UCSD, the average seems to be like a 26-32. So a good score would probably be a 25-29 but a great score would be a 30-36!

Chattanooga State Community College does not have a minimum ACT score. Students who score above 26 on the ACT will be placed at college level in all areas but scores under 19 in math and reading will be placed at a transitional level for further assessment.

If one wants to get into LSU they need to have a good grade point average. You also need to have a pretty decent ACT score.
I took it in my junior year of high school. But that was in 1998.
West Virginia residents must have at least a 2.0 grade-point average and either a composite ACT score of 19 or a combined critical reading and math SAT score of 910. Nonresidents must have at least a 2.25 grade-point average and either an ACT composite score of 21 or a combined critical reading and math SAT score of 990.
