Earned leave is leave that has been accrued by the length of employment service with the company. For example, Employee A starts work in a company and is entitled to 10 days leave per year. After 6 months of service, Employee A's earned leave is 5 days. In this particular case, Employee A decides to take 6 days leave at the end of June but his earned leave is only 5 days. So the additional 1 day he takes will be considered as advance leave. Hope this answers your questions. Cheers Suriya Veeranathan
In the education department of the Punjab Govt. it is deducted from earned leave. Performing Hajj is your personal duty, not Govt. duty.

Earned leave refers to a type of leave that employees accumulate based on the time they have worked for an organization. Typically, a certain number of leave days is earned for each month or year of service, allowing employees to take time off with pay. This leave can be used for personal reasons, vacations, or emergencies, and is often seen as a benefit that rewards long-term service. Policies regarding earned leave can vary by company and jurisdiction.
