Yes HND, also known as Higher National Diploma is a Higher level than BTEC National Diploma, I know this because i am currently studying the BTEC National Diploma course.
But Having experience in BTEC National Diploma will give you a better background and give you better knowledge of the HND Course, it will also look good to an Employer :)
Hope this helped!

Depends on what type of diploma or job you are looking at. If the post is aimed at a 'qualified' professional with a postgrad diploma in child or educational psychology- unfortunately this does not equal an NVQ grade. However if this the job is assisting teaching or SEN co-ordinators then I would imagine that an NVQ would be fine! Just apply anyway!!! If you are interested in child psychology and wish to further your career or knowlegde in the area I would recommend considering university, as this will open up more pathways in psychology than NVQs can currently offer. Although training to be an educational psychologist is a long process (which unfortunately requires minimun of 6 years to train), it is certainly worth it- and ed psychs are needed!
I t is equivalent to NVQ Level 3
Physics, maths. You probably need at least 5 A*-C GCSEs
As long as you have an equivalent of 5 GCSE's between C-A* this does not matter. It is your A level ( or higher equivalent grades) that matter. This depends on what you want to do, but as long as you have 3 good A levels you are likely to be excepted. However, you do require a good GCSE maths and English grade ( usually a C or B as a minimum.) If you wanted to specialise in something then you often need a B or above in that subject for both GCSE and A level.
Yes, Most institutions of higher education will allow you to fast track to a degree with an NVQ level 4. As long as it is in the subject relevant to the NVQ that you hold. For example; Highbury college in Portsmouth will allow you to do a part time degree via Sunderland Uni in Business Management. I can take as little as a year - 18 months to complete.
city and guilds because it is
I would say that the C&G 2330 is mostly your theoretical study with hands skills modules and your NVQ 3 is all the experience you gather on site. Both are important and are dependent on the other ie; you can't do one without the other. However i have heard of people who have done their AM2 without doing NVQ 3 and only doing 2330 as long as they have some work experience thus saving you a lot of time/money.Try the following link:www.electrain.infowww.elecguide.info

There are two main ways of becoming a lighting technician. You could either qualify as an electrician or get practical experience in production lighting, or you could take a technical theatre course at college or university. Currently, to qualify as an electrician you will need either: · NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Electro-technical Services (Electrical Maintenance) or · NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Installing Electro-technical Systems and Equipment (Buildings and Structures).
