the acceptance rate for andover is about 20%, and of the class of 2009, well over 70 students went Ivy League, and over twenty more to stanford, MIT, and Caltech out of a graduating class of 324. This isn't counting of course the folks who went to top liberal arts colleges like amherst and williams, a total of about 15, and the ones attending top 20 colleges like johns hopkins, northwestern, duke, University of Chicago, Wash U St. Louis, etc. a total of a little over 40.

Five students to one teacher 5:1
it depends on how good your grades are, ssat scores, teachers recommendations, sports, community service etc. they are all the "top batch" boarding schools and have a really low acceptance rate so i'd recommend you to apply for a few safety schools. they are all amazing schools though.
