President Ulysses S. Grant attended the United States Military Academy at West Point against his will. Initially, he had little interest in a military career and was reluctant to go, but his father encouraged him to accept the appointment. Despite his initial resistance, Grant went on to have a significant military career, ultimately becoming a prominent Union general during the Civil War and later serving as the 18th President of the United States.
They went to war against president Andrew Jackson's army.
Ulysess S. Grant. However, I'm not sure how high he went.
Washington never went to West Point. It didn’t exist when he was alive and his only formal training was as a surveyor.
Only three presidents attended either West Point or the Naval Academy. U.S. Grant, D. D. Eisenhower (both went to West Point) & Jimmy Carter (U. S. Naval Academy). Football wasn't around when Grant went to West Point. Eisenhower did play football at West Point in the linbackers position (he once assisted on a tackle of Jim Thorpe). I could find no referance of Jimmy Carter playing football at the Academy. So a good guess would be D. D. (Ike) Eisenhower.

Clinton
He went to USMA, West Point, NY.
Dwight Eisenhower went to United States Military Academy (BS)
Jefferson Davis was a member of the Class of 1828 and graduated from the US Military Academy at West Point. He also attended Transylvania University in Kentucky.
Red Cagle went by The Red Thunderbolt of West Point.
Dwight Eisenhower went to the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York and so was prepared for his career in the army. He later served as president of Columbia University in NY City.
None of them. Presidents Grant and Eisenhower went to West Point, and Carter went to Annapolis, but no US President attended or graduated from the Air Force Academy. Keep in mind that the school has only been around since 1954, so any President before Clinton would have been too old to attend.
