The sport football :)
If you mean the film adaptation of the book "The Outsiders", then the character you are speaking of is named Darry, and he was portrayed by the late Patrick Swayze.
Darry wished that he had been able to go to college and play football, but with the death of their parents, he is focused on keeping Ponyboy and Sodapop safe in their home as a family. Everything Darry does is for the betterment of his brothers and the boys in the gang.
1971 track and field
I think Dwayne Johnson (The Rock), should play Darrel Curtis. :]
Basketball,football,and soccer
no. he finished high school but then his parents died so he had to get a job and couldn't go onto college
In "The Outsiders," Darry and Ponyboy play tug of war with a soda by grabbing opposite ends of the straw and pulling it back and forth. This playful competition showcases their close bond and lighthearted moments amid the challenges they face. It's a simple yet fun way for them to connect and enjoy each other's company while sharing a drink.
Every time darry and ponyboy have a fight they want soda to take their side. Soda does not want to take either side because he loves them both equally. They play tug of war because they want back up from him and sense soda is the only other family member left he gets stuck in the middle a lot. For example in the book and in the movie (the outsiders the complete novel) the three of them are sitting down to dinner when darry and pony get into one of their arguments. darry says his thing and pony get mad and asks soda, "Is that not right Soda?" (or something along those lines) thus drawing Soda into their argument and trying to get him to take sides
When Darry and Ponyboy were arguing they both wanted Soda on their side.
Matt Dillon play Dally in The Outsiders.
