You should study quite a few weeks in advance for the SATS, it is a very complicated test and can have great baring on a persons future. This kind of test should be prepared for if you seek outstanding results.
The SAT formerly stood for Scholastic Aptitude Test / Scholastic Assessment Test but now it does not stand for anything.

its not exactly banned but has been withdrawn from the tests as the test are being done in year five on 2009 exactly.
