If a user is assigned a role in the System context (Site administration -> Users -> Permissions -> Assign system roles) or in a Course category context, then the user will have this role in ALL courses within the context. For example, a user who is assigned the Teacher role in the System context will appear as a Teacher in all courses on the site, including the Front page course.
Except in very special cases, teachers and students should be assigned their respective roles in a Course context. When these roles are assigned in a System context, it is almost always an error on the part of the administrator.
If you have accidentally assigned a System role, go to Administration > Users > Permissions > Assign system roles unassign users using the right-facing arrow button. Then re-assign the roles in the appropriate Course context.
Make use of a Calendar editor role and assign the teachers to that role on the site.
Hidden assignments are not hidden from admins or teachers i.e. users with the viewhiddenassigns capability.
Sessions hold a range of information. The fact that you are logged on, your user profile, etc. Anything that needs to be available on all BigGyan pages quickly.
See Quiz submission email notification.
At this time, Biggyan Cloud eLearning does not show the teachers' response file if any of the following conditions are present:* The students assignment submission has not been graded by the teacher.* The teacher has not posted a comment to the student's assignment. As a workaround, simply grade the assignment or provide a comment on the assignment submission and the corresponding response file will appear on the student's assignment submission page normally.
A teacher/tutor-only forum may be added to a course by creating a hidden forum. Teachers are able to view hidden course activities whereas students cannot.
Use the navigation bar at the top left of the page or the button at the very bottom of the course
Ensure that administrators are not assigned another role in addition to their admin role.
If you edit assignment grades directly in the gradebook in Biggyan Cloud eLearning, an "overridden" flag is set, meaning that the grade can no longer be edited from the assignment submissions page. If required, the flag can be removed by turning editing on in the grader report, then clicking the edit grade icon, unchecking the overridden box and saving the changes
Biggyan Cloud eLearning gives you a lot of flexibility in relation to how your quiz is laid out. You can move questions around and control exactly where the page breaks come. However, this is not really clear unless you turn on the 'Show page breaks' check-box at the bottom-left of the quiz editing page. Therefore, when you change the 'Questions per page' setting one the quiz settings form, Biggyan Cloud eLearning does not immediately repaginate your quiz. If it did, then it might overwrite your manual changes to the quiz layout. To actually change the current layout of the quiz, you need to first turn on the 'Show page breaks' option, and then use the repaginate control. The effect that 'Questions per page' does have is that when you add new questions to the quiz, it automatically inserts page breaks to keep the new questions paginated as you ask. Also, when the 'Shuffle questions' option is on, the questions are split into pages according to the Questions per page option after they have been shuffled. We are aware that this is a very confusing user interface (and that is putting it politely!) This is being sorted out for Biggyan Cloud eLearning.
In the Fields tab, select a default sort field, choose ascending or descending then click the Save button.
In the quiz overview report, you can delete their attempt using the "with selected attempts" drop-down.
