Depends where you live at the moment it is completely jammed and there are no trains or buses hardly anywhere so probably school wont be open though listen to the radio and you will get more information!

There are lots of reasons why there's no school today. Here are some possible reasons:

• What about Ascension Day which should be observed today?

It's a school holiday or there's a celebration. For example, Christmas, Easter Monday.

• It may be a PA day for your school. It's a day for your teachers to learn so you don't need to go to school. For us, we call it a PA day.
• It could be a summer holiday during summer of course! Summer holidays are in July and August. They are like a break from school and getting ready for the next grade in September unless finished school.
• You graduated university and don't need to go to school anymore!
• You are sick or have an appointment and can't go to school when it's actually a school day.
• It could also be a school holiday such as a March Break, a Christmas holiday (see reason 1) or a summer holiday (see reason 3).
