If you're a female, you can join an organization called Women in Aviation. My wife joined early in her career and applied for a scholarship with just 700 flight hours (if you don't know, it's very insignificant if you're looking to make a career of flying) and won a $30,000 scholarship to go to Lear school.
My wife just suggested that you Google "aviation scholarship" She said that there are numerous organizations out there that offer scholarships to both male and female.
Scholarship.

It was a flight of fancy.
It depends on what you want to do. If you want to be in ATC (Air Traffic Control), then talk to the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). If you want to be a pilot, then decide on the kind of pilot you want to be (private, commerical, airline transport) and find a local flight school that offers what you want. For more information, go to www.faa.gov, they have all sorts of info on aviation. Hope this helped!
