It leads to procrastination, which in its turn leads to anxiety and stress of not performing well, which, in large amounts, leads to physical and mental health problems. So to say, it drives the chain of negative consequences that impact the academic performance of college students. Taking into account that a lot of students have to work full or part-time alongside studying, no wonder their academic performance significantly decreases.
