I personally believe it should. Sex Ed is important and there are things that could practically ruin your life if you don't know what you're doing. Some schools have Sex Ed, but if yours doesn't, be sure to check out some information about stuff. I recommend Laci Green's videos on YouTube for starters.
Both single-sex education and co-education have their own advantages and disadvantages. Single-sex education can provide a focused learning environment and cater to specific gender-related learning styles, while co-education promotes social interaction and learning from diverse perspectives. The choice between the two ultimately depends on individual preferences and educational goals.
There are many single sex schools and they are even successful. There is no overall harm in such schools. Some families parents educate their daughters only in girls school so there is certainly a need for such schools. Obviously, you always have a choice to enroll as coed.
Most of the advantages of single-sex education are for girls. There may be less risk of sexual assaults on female students from male students. Girls are more likely to speak up and participate when there are less boys around. There is the perception that boys are natural leaders and girls are more likely to be followers. Thus it is assumed that in that type of environment, the girls are content to let the boys do most of the participation. The jury is out on whether that is actually true, but that is one of the theories used in support of single-sex education. In single-sex schools and classes, the students are more sheltered from topics that are of little interest to them, and students learn very little when they are absolutely bored. Many girls (and a few boys) are not into sports, and classroom content centering around sports may be lost on them.
According to a study competed in 2008, single sex schools have a higher passing rate by at least 20% than a co-educational school. This study undertaken by the Institute of Education to prove what schooling methods were beneficial for the students.
there are many advantages of co_education..through this boys and girls are able to remove their shyness.when they study together then they will able to work with each other in their futur life... they are able to develop mutual understanding.....which is very important there are many advantages of co_education..through this boys and girls are able to remove their shyness.when they study together then they will able to work with each other in their futur life... they are able to develop mutual understanding.....which is very important Co-education is not strictly necessary, there are still organisations that separate boys and girls for religious or cultural reasons. But to the extent that education is a preparation for adult life, it makes sense to have boys and girls educated together:- they will work together when they are adults. The arguments for allowing boys and girls to be educated together are very similar to the arguments that Muslims and even mildly handicapped people should be educated in standard schools: it prepares such children to integrate in their later life. Now a days co-education is considered important because it 1)Helps in better understanding of the two different genders, 2)Reduce shyness, 3)Helps to be perfect and to have good dressing manners, 4)Helps in the reduction of usage of abusable language, 5)Helps in the maturation of mind.
Ideally, sex education should be taught at home. However, parents are often too busy or they neglect to teach their children. So someone has to do it.
The purpose of sex education is to educate individuals on the reproductive system and provide them with a safe setting in which to ask questions and get answers about sex. As most individuals will begin puberty before high school, it would be a good idea to start this type of education at an earlier age.
The pros of sex education before high school is so the kids will be informed. The cons are the children learn about sex way to early.
well, Public school you have to work about bullies, drugs, and sex education. But, It is free to enroll. But private school, there are very very little bullies (If any!) and No sex education as far as I am aware of. A catholic (ETC) school is great, no bullies, no drugs, and no sex education! Hope this helped!

Awareness of homosexuality should be taught in school, as well as respect for all people, regardless of their sexual orientation. Sex of any kind shouldn't be taught in schools other than in sex education classes. However, there is nothing wrong with teaching homosexuality as a unit within a high school sex education class, as long as all the students in the class have parental permission.
