You will always go through life wondering why the guy next door has way more than you do, because he has a good education and a good job and you don't. There are many other factors, too many to answer here, but do yourself a favor, if you dropped out, go back, and if you are doing poorly in school and want to quit, perhaps you can get at tutor or have a friend help you to understand whatever it is that keeps you from doing well in school. Poor Victorian children were often unable to attend school due to financial constraints or needing to work to support their families. Those who did attend typically received a basic education in a charity or Sunday school, where reading, writing, and arithmetic were taught. Schools for poor Victorians were established in the 19th century as part of efforts to provide education to all children, regardless of their social or economic background. The Elementary Education Act of 1870 marked a significant milestone in the creation of formal schooling for impoverished children in Victorian England.
