As the fuel we use contains carbon, a product in a combustion process taking place in an engine is Carbon Monoxide (CO). Carbon Monoxide is an odorless, colorless gas which is very harmful to humans and animals. Also, it is a greenhouse gas and therefore is known to contribute to climate change, and it adversely (and possibly irreversibly) affects the environment.

If you continue to drive a 1994 Chevrolet 1500 pickup with a crack in the drivers side exhaust manifold will it damage the vehicle?

I assume you are asking if this will harm the engine. The answer is no, it will do no harm to the engine. It will however, possibly allow exhaust gases to enter the passenger compartment, and as you know, that can be deadly. If it were my truck, I would have it repaired or replaced, and not take that chance.
