Gas is more effect in producing more heat because the warmth of it has a higher temperature than the electric. Gas also contain chemicals that make a place hot. For instance Global Warming is one example.
The most efficient electric heat source available on the market today is a heat pump. Heat pumps can provide both heating and cooling, and they are more energy-efficient than traditional electric resistance heaters.
Very little of the energy that goes to the electric fireplaces is wasted. However, as a heat source there are better, more efficient sources of heat.
Gas stoves are generally more efficient than electric stoves because they heat up faster and can be more easily controlled.
The most efficient electric water heater available on the market is the heat pump water heater, which uses electricity to move heat from the air or ground to heat water, making it more energy-efficient than traditional electric water heaters.
Electric stoves are generally considered to be more efficient than gas stoves because they convert more of the energy they consume into heat for cooking.
depending on conditions but generally a heat pump will cost you less to run.
The most efficient electric heating system available on the market today is the heat pump. Heat pumps can provide both heating and cooling, and they are more energy-efficient than traditional electric resistance heating systems.
Hi, Electric heating it self is more efficient, however the way the electric is produced is not.typically for every 1kW of power you put into to an electric heater you get 1kW out, but it to produce the electric it takes 3kW of coal ect, to produce 1kW of electric. A gas boiler can be 98% efficient so overall better. So unless you have way of producing electric yourself or have an efficient supplier, go for gas.Hope this helps.gas.
Heat pump is more efficient. If you use electric heaters, 1 joule of electric energy will produce 1 joule of heat energy. If you use heat pumps, 1 joule of electric energy can pump several joules - perhaps up to 5 or 6, depending on the outside temperature, and the efficiency of the heat pump - of heat, from the outside to the inside.
Oil is the most expensive way to heat anything. Check your cost per kwh on your electric bill- easy way= forget all the blah blah and divide the total $ by the total kw. The most efficient heat source is a heat pump. For $400 worth of heat with electric or gas equipment, the same heat may cost you as little as $100.
Insulators are more efficient at maintaining heat.
Any device that produces light also produces heat. Some more than others. An incandescent lamp is actually more efficient at producing heat than producing light. There are available different types of lamp which produce less heat such as LCD lamps.
