Pros:

Some of the pros are that it is environtmently friendly. cons are it is very expensive.

Try searching some other places to.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pros:

[1] Its renewable -> i.e. unlimited

[2] No Hydrocarbons are involved => no C02 emissions => good for environment -> 'cuz -> CO2 damages the ozone layer + increases global warming + induces climate change

[3] both solar and wind -> dont involve Middle East -> which in turn implies -> less political games -> read -> less need to control which way the winds flow in the middle of the east

-> which in turn implies -> less need for interference in middle east => less wars => forcing the population to utilize their enegeries in more productive endeavors => a more answerable government - > no more " we had to do this,, because we need oil from the middle east" = > more responsible govrenance -> in the west -> which also means that middel eastern givernment would have to find newwer and better ways to justify their existencae { read = monarchy and rule} -> can no longer blame "foreign hand for their incompetencies" -> this in tunr is an example of killing 2 birds with one stone [ 1st bird = wars + excuses.. 2nd one = hiding incompetence .. 3rd bird = better governance + inovation -> yeah i know the 3rd bird needs a critical eye to spot.. but hey.. 2 alone would suffice ..}

Cons:

[1] Initial investment required is high -> needs government suppport -> read -> entrepreneurs + rebates/subsidy => i hope you can guess the challenges and the bureaucracy involved in such a feat

[2] disrupts the existing supply-chain -> read oil+cartel + the impact on those governments whos dependence on oil = a significant portion of their economy -> yes it means - Russian ALSO => alongside the usual suspect..

[3] Up front cost is high -> read [1] for cure -> as in the long run it pays off + the spill over effects of having a better govrnment and regimes -> remmeber "necessity is the mother of invention" and dont forget what Pual Romer said " A crisis is a teriible thing to waste:" -> yes, if the entire world moves on to clean energy -> it would definitely disput a lot of lives, especially lives of those whos job/salary/renevues/gdp depends a lot on hydrocarbons -> yes it would create a criss of some sorts.. but that crisis would be a great opprtunity to innovate and find better ways to consume and to satiate the hunger for ENERGY

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pros;

Is eco friendly,often qualify for tax exemptions, will lower energy bills some are high efficacy like a sarf system runing around $1000 that is over twice as good as comparable brands

Cons;

constantly improving( hard to keep the latest and greatest),initial cost take a long time to pay off, don't look good, need a open area above other wind walls, may require costly repairs,KILL BIRDS, and are hard to convert directly in to ac power.

How has the Technology effected your environment what are the Pros and Cons?

Technology has significantly impacted the environment in various ways. On the positive side, advancements in renewable energy, such as solar and wind power, contribute to reducing carbon emissions and combating climate change. However, the cons include increased electronic waste and pollution from manufacturing processes, as well as the depletion of natural resources. Balancing these pros and cons is crucial for sustainable development.

Pros and cons of hydro power?

Hydroelectric power plants don't exhaust pollutants into the air, and they output power at a relatively reliable rate (compared to solar or wind, especially). On the other hand, they drastically affect all ecosystems upstream of the dam, and are much more environmentally destructive than nuclear power plants.

How are solar and wind power different?

solar power comes from the sun and is generated from solar pannals. wind power comes from the wind and is generated from wind mills.

What is the difference between solar power and wind power?

solar power gets energy from the sun using solar panelsbut wind power uses a wind turbine which catches the wind and spins to create energy/electricity

How is solar power and wind power different?

Solar power uses photovoltaic cells to convert sunlight into electricity, while wind power uses turbines to convert the kinetic energy of wind into electricity. Solar power is dependent on sunlight, whereas wind power is dependent on wind speed and consistency. Both are renewable sources of energy, but they rely on different natural elements for generation.

What are the pros and cons of hydroeletricity?

AdvantagesIt is renewableHydroelectricity produces no gas emissions or waste.It is more reliable than solar and wind power - because water can be stored and there is more of it, more often.Hydroelectric stations are inexpensive to operate.DisadvantagesLarge dams take up large areas of land and can cause fish and other animals to relocate.Plantlife can be affected by a change in water quality.The power stations are expensive to build.
